About Us
Our Mission
"TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN ACADEMIC STUDIES AND THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT."
Warwick Engineering Society is an all-inclusive, award-winning hub for anyone with a passion for Engineering and Technology. By networking, socialising and learning, we aim to help you make the most of your university life.
What We Do
CONFERENCES
Our two annual conferences immerse you in the cutting-edge innovations in engineering and technology that address the challenges of today. Through our keynotes, debate panels and breakout sessions, we bring you insights from industry speakers and academics on the forefront of research.
In partnership with Warwick Women in Engineering and Science (WWES) Society, we explore the topics of diversity, equality and inclusion in the STEM fields at our annual event Borderless.
SITE VISITS
We aim to bring you first-hand experiences of engineering in the real world through our site visits to company headquarters and facilities across the UK. Previous visits include BMW/Mini, Airbus, Arup and Prodrive.
PROJECTS AND CHALLENGES
Through industry-sponsored and inter-society projects, you will have the opportunity to put your creativity and practical skills to the test. Gain real-world skills worthy of your CV whilst solving problems as a team.
CAREERS
Connecting you with prominent companies, our EngCafé series will enable you to develop your personal network and knowledge of application processes. Hear from companies such as Dyson, Rolls Royce and IBM.
SOCIALS
Coming to university is not all about academic study, it's great to have a balance. From games nights to pub quizzes, our regular and diverse socials bring like-minded people together.
A glamorous evening of food, drinks and laughter, our annual ball is the perfect way to enjoy the gourmet experience at student prices.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT
For engineering undergraduate students, our student-led revision sessions provide support on topics from writing lab reports to excelling in first-year exams.
WELFARE
Founded in 2019, our initiative 'Let's STEM the Stress' aims to promote awareness of STEM student mental health. As students, we understand the immense challenges that you may face during your time at university. Through our mental health campaign, we will help you to find the resources available.
It's okay not to be okay.
